今天特別訪問到十一月考上PMP證照的台北班學員何孟儒，請他/她來分享準備PMP證照考試心得與相關經驗。以下為孟儒的背景介紹與訪問摘要：

Q：首先恭喜您考取PMP證照，請分享一下這段時間您的PMP讀書計畫。
A：
I really should have followed Miss Chou’s advice by preparing the exam right after the program, but I didn’t. So I end up spending additional 1 month to pick it up and get myself ready for the exam.

Creating a study plan by giving specific date for the pre-test and mock exam on the website of Innovation Planning Consultants Ltd after you logged in. Make sure you stick to your plan and keep yourself really into the whole project management knowledge by not only memorizing them but really to understand and feel the logic behind chapters and try to connect them on your own.

I took couple pieces of A4 paper and tried to write my own ITTO matrix couple times in order to help me memorizing them, that sounds like a pretty old-fashioned way but it works for me~ Not only at least I know roughly which input is from or which tool & technique is used under which process, but also I can easily know the relationships and inter-dependencies between all the process groups and knowledge areas. The electronic matrix from our website is pretty useful too if writing isn’t really helping you memorizing, try to drag each ITTO to the right place, I mean, like EVERYDAY, then somehow you’ll just know them pretty well before you even realized.

Go thoroughly cover-to-cover at least twice on the PMBOK and the textbook we had from the training program. Also the “Knowledge+” from our website is something you need to go over too. You don’t really need to memorize them, but at least just skim them couple times so they’ll be saved in somewhere in your head when you need them (if there are some questions like that).

The handout received after reaching 80% on the pre-test contains some valuable information which total worth spending most of your time reading it before the exam. Make sure you know the answer of every single question and memorize everything on it.

Q：請分享PMP證照考試技巧？（例如，應考時，有沒有甚麼特別要注意的事？作答的時間分配？電腦系統的操作？題目的難易度？得分技巧？臨場注意事項？）
A：
The people there did a great job helping you go over the rules and policies you have to know. Just follow their instructions, take a deep breath and grab the 2 pencils and 4 pages of scratch pater into the room, hit the start bottom and let the exam begin~

The desktop and mouse there in the test center are okay, and it’s pretty quiet there since only 3 people in the test room on weekday. Take an advantage on the 15 mins while reading the instructions on the screen, write down every formula or anything you remember on the scratch paper, it’ll come in handy later~

To be honest, the exam is way harder then the pre-test or the mock exam we had. Most of the questions are in long paragraphs which takes a while to really understand the scenario, so the best strategy is to look at the last sentence of the question and glance the 4 choices and then go back to the question itself.

I was a little bit behind the schedule that it took me exactly 2 hours to finish the first 100 questions! Mostly because I was trapped with some stupid calculations that none of the choices seems to be close to my answer. So be sure you withdraw from the question you’ve struggled for more than 2 mins, mark it and come back later on the final review.

I got only 10 mins left for reviewing. I take care of those incomplete questions first, and then go through all marked questions by instinct to finalize the answers, then pretty much time up. After complete a short questionnaire of Prometric and you’ll see the result~

A：
The training program from Innovative Planning Consultants Ltd. is pretty cool indeed. It really helps me getting some insights of project management by some real life cases. I’ve become more organized at work, and start to look into some processes that I don’t even bother to look in the past.

As for whether the program helps on pursuing PMP certificate? Definitely yes, as it helped so many other working professionals and I get the PMP credential.

Q：創新PMP課程除了講師授課之外，還提供PMIS專案管理資訊系統與PMP模擬題庫系統的雙系統教學，您是如何運用這些服務協助您的PMP學習與PMP證照考試？
A：
For me, I only use the PMIS during the program. The system is well designed that we can really manage the project by utilizing all the functions in it.

Q：市場上的PMP培訓單位眾多，請問您當初選擇創新PMP課程的原因，上完課後是否有符合您對PMP課程的期待？您是否願意推薦本課程，為什麼？
A：
I did compare several training programs out there. I chose Innovation Planning Consultants Ltd. because they do offer a well-organized lecture and some amazing tools. We actually attended the seminar where Vic and Corsa provided a nice introduction of the program; also we met Miss Chou and got to know more about PMP.

After the whole 6-week period, the program has blown my mind that I really gain a lot from it, not only project management knowledge but also some practical experience.

And yes, I’d definitely recommend this training program to any of my friend who’s interested pursuing PMP credential.

Q：您對創新PMP課程或老師的任何建議？
A：
Basically I’m pretty satisfied of what I had from this program, they’ve done a great job~
The only complaint is that 6-week is really too short to learn~

Don’t wait up, try to get it done right after the class!

Develop a study plan and stick with it, study everyday at least for one hour. If you don’t really have time to go over the PMBOK or the textbook, at least try the electronic matrix or go through some reference article from the “Knowledge+” online in the system.
